We work as partners and consultants to harness the inspirational power of social media. With others, we stimulate debate about technology in education and aim to amplify best practice.

Funder
Nominet Trust are a UK registered charity founded to provide support to organisations and projects working to increase access to the Internet, online safety and education. Their vision is of a world where the Internet is a trusted space, which everyone can be part of and has a positive impact on people’s lives.

Makewaves is an innovative social learning environment for education. Providing a safe space for 5-19 years old to publish multimedia stories, join projects and connect together within an international community of schools. With 30,000+ stories already online, Makewaves is the place to hear what children and young people are saying.
Childnet International is a registered charity set up in 1995 with the mission to work in partnership with others around the world to “help make the Internet a great and safe place for children.” The vision of the organisation is to ensure that all those involved in developing, producing, controlling, using and regulating international telecommunications (current and future), recognise and implement policies and programmes which prioritise the rights of children so their interests are both promoted and protected.
The I in Online Project has brought together a large consortium of legal professionals from across various different fields who raise awareness of online issues such as copyright and online identity by delivering presentations and promoting active learning through media projects.
